Here's a pic of the original artwork for EA Sports NHL 2004, featuring Dany Heatley on the cover when he was still a Thrasher.Unfortunately, Heatley was involved in an automobile accident that killed his teammate. (bonus points if you remember the player who got killed) EA sort of freaked out over the negative publicity, and promptly pulled his photo and replaced with someone with less heat(ley) on them: Joe Sakic.
Guess EA didn't have time to pull Patrick Kane's photo from NHL 10 this year. Would have been rather appropriate to put Kane's photo on the next version of the game "Crazy Taxi". But then, I digress.....
